About Village Homes
Russ and Cindy Rich bought Village Homes in 2018, but the business has been on the same Walker lot since 1998. Between the team in Walker and Bemidji, we've spent more than 90 combined years putting families into manufactured and modular homes across northern Minnesota.
Our story
The big chains do volume. We do trust. Most of our buyers come from word-of-mouth: a sister, a neighbor, a coworker who bought from us a decade ago and still calls when their cousin needs a home.
We carry Schult and Skyline because we know the factories, we know the build quality, and we know they stand behind their warranties. We don't push the most expensive home you can afford. We sell the home that fits the lot you have and the life you're building.
Russ is at the Walker lot most days. Cindy keeps the office running. John and Lance handle Bemidji. Laurie's at Walker. Stop in any time.
What we believe

Sales tax, delivery within 75 miles, and on-foundation setup are in the number we quote. We don't add fees later.

If a smaller plan fits your life better, we'll tell you. We'd rather sell you the right home than push you into a wrong one.

When you call us in five years with a question, the same person will probably answer the phone. That's worth something.

Owners · Walker
Russ and Cindy bought Village Homes in 2018 and run the Walker office day-to-day. They're at the lot most days, both available to answer questions, talk options, or sit down with a coffee.

A familiar face at the Walker office for years. Laurie handles sales inquiries, walk-throughs, and the day-to-day questions our buyers ask while they're on the lot.

A native of the area. Married to Lisa since 1992. Proud parent and grandparent. Off the lot, John's on Minnesota water with a fishing rod or on the couch as a "Blood is Purple" Vikings fan. "We hold the keys to the home of your dreams."

A native of Grand Forks who spent years in Thief River Falls and Minot. 23 years in the manufactured and modular home industry, including time on industry boards. Raised four kids, enjoys grandkids and the outdoors. Vikings, Twins, and UND fan.
